Jeff had been watching my guitar builds for some time and finally decided to pull the trigger one day and we had a conversation as to what he was looking for. He had asked about maybe inlaying a couple of dog tags-stlye inlay and I had asked him why. The story begins with Jeff losing 2 brothers in the war in Afghanistan and he wanted to have me build a tributary guitar in rememberence of his 2 brothers. This had hit me hard, since I'm a veteran. I thought about it and came up with the fallen soldier monument design which is recognized by most and so began a buid that was built side-by-side with 2 other guitars over the course of 8 months. Jeff really liked the style of the Grubbworm guitar build and wanted his guitar to be close to Todd's as possible.. perhaps the ominous look - but it also has a powerful look and tonal possibilities at the end of the day and it is a nod to 2 brothers that were fallen soldiers.
