Master inlay services by a human, not a machine.

There are very few inlay artists in the world that do the level of inlay that we do. This is a lost art that has been slowly been replaced by machines (CNC). To find a true inlay artist is one thing, to find one who can do the intricate work that Virgil Mandanici does is an entirely different level. If you have stumbled in here looking for something that is very basic and you don't want to spend too much money, we may not be the right fit for you. There are tons of inlay artists out there that will put in initials and the standard generic inlays out there.

You may want to talk to us if you are looking for something totally unique and original. This does not always mean that it will be very expensive. Costs are calculated by looking at the complexity of the design, how much time is involved in having Virgil draw the design, costs of materials you want for the inlay and time involved in the labor of the particular inlay.

We can inlay on just about any piece of wood for you, preferably flat. If it is a guitar body, this is an incredibly difficult process if it already has a finish, because your finish needs to be removed for us to inlay in the wood (Inlays are not magically inserted into your guitar without touching the finish!). If you have a fingerboard that is requiring an inlay that already has frets, we're not offering this service at this time.
